About Scott Hild Landscaping

Scott is from a family of horticulturalists. His father, Scott Hild Sr., owned and operated a large landscape/construction business for many years and got a degree in horticulture from Bergen Community College. His uncle, Richard Hild, also owned and operated a successful landscape business for several years and is still involved in the industry today. So, it is safe to say, landscaping is in Scott’s blood.

After attending and graduating from Seton Hall Preparatory High School in 2005, Scott continued to work in the industry, growing both his knowledge and skill set. In 2012, Scott started Scott Hild Landscaping with the primary goal of maintaining beautiful landscapes for both residential and commercial clients.

In order to grow a successful business while simultaneously providing the high-level of service Scott had in mind, he knew he had to surround himself with hard-working, like-minded individuals. Here at Scott Hild Landscaping, our team is comprised of highly qualified and passionate individuals dedicated to servicing your property in the safest and most responsible manner possible.

Scott believes heavily in education. Because of this, Scott and his team regularly attend local and regional classes and trade shows to stay ahead of the curve in our ever-evolving industry. As stated above, the primary focus of Scott Hild Landscaping is to provide the best service possible to our valued customers. By educating ourselves in the most up-to-date management practices available, we are able to provide a superior service to our clients. Over the years, Scott’s focus on education has enabled him to acquire a number of accreditations, certifications and licenses in the landscape industry.   

Despite believing that education is what sets Scott and his team apart from the rest, he also recognizes that the ability to do the work (and do it well) along with a solid work ethic is the foundation in which any successful business is built. Scott has had and continues to have many great friends and mentors that help to build his knowledge and skill set even to this day.

Scott is a big believer in “paying it forward.” As a great friend and mentor of his once said, “If I show you what I know, it will only make you better, and in turn make the industry better.” For this reason, Scott and his team regularly volunteer at local and regional events that are focused on community, education and growing the landscape industry as a whole. 

In 2016, Scott received the “Budding Contractor Award” from the New Jersey Landscape Association (NJLCA). This award is presented to young businesses that show determination and growth in the landscape industry.

Today, Scott still oversees day-to-day operations of Scott Hild Landscaping and is proud to still be working regularly in the field alongside his team. When not working, Scott enjoys spending his time with his wife and two dogs.
